How long does paint correction take?
A single-stage enhance can be done in a few hours, but a proper multi-stage correction on a neglected car usually takes a full day or more in our Cheltenham workshop, since we're working through several cutting and polishing stages panel by panel rather than rushing a one-pass buff.
What's the difference between removing swirls and removing deep scratches?
Swirl marks and light haze usually sit in the clear coat and come out with a single or two-stage machine polish. Deeper scratches that catch your fingernail have gone through the clear coat, so they need heavier cutting compounds and multiple correction stages — and in some cases a scratch is too deep to fully remove without risking the clear coat, in which case we'll tell you honestly rather than over-promise.
